Handing a decision to AI is easy, and it leaves you no better at the next one. Nous keeps the call with you. It remembers what you've told it, asks the next question, and your judgment gets a little sharper each time.

System 1 and System 2

Quick when it's simple. Slow when it matters.

Most messages get System 1: a short, direct reply. Bring a real decision and Nous switches to System 2. It takes longer, separates what's at stake, says which choice is harder to undo, and asks the question you've been avoiding. Every reply is labelled, so you know which one you got.

When a question pulls you sideways, open a branch. It sits in its own column next to the conversation, so you can follow it as far as you like. The main conversation waits right where you left it.

When something you said earlier matters to today's decision, Nous brings it back. Your old words sit next to today's, with one line on how your thinking has changed. You see your own pattern instead of starting from zero.

Privacy

Your thinking stays on your Mac.

What you tell Nous is personal. It's built so we never hold a copy.

Stored on your Mac

Your conversations, notes and the memory Nous builds about you live in a database on your Mac. We don't have a copy and can't see them.

Answered in the cloud, not kept

To write a reply, your message and the context it needs go over an encrypted connection to an AI model. It's used for that reply, and providers aren't allowed to train on it.

No ads, no tracking

We keep only what's needed to run your account: your email, usage counts, and feedback you choose to send. We never sell your data.

You're in control

Turn memory off, delete any memory, export everything as Markdown, or delete your account, all from inside the app.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable tax. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in Settings → Usage & billing → Manage; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.

Who is Nous for?

People who think out loud and want to grow from it: students, founders, people at a crossroads. If you'd like a partner that remembers your context and asks good questions rather than just giving answers, Nous is for you.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac running macOS 27 or later, and an internet connection for replies. Nous is in closed beta; request an invitation to get access.

Where is my data stored?

On your Mac. Conversations, notes and memory are saved locally and aren't synced to our servers. Signing in doesn't upload them. See the privacy policy for exactly what is sent to an AI model when you ask for a reply.

How do refunds work?

If you ask within 7 days of your first Nous Pro payment, we refund it in full. Ask from Settings → Usage & billing → Refund, or email us. Other refund requests are reviewed by a person, case by case. Requesting a refund doesn't cancel your subscription by itself. This doesn't limit any rights you have under applicable law.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Profile → Delete account. You can also delete everything on your Mac from Settings → Data & privacy.

How do I contact you?
